How many lessons will I need?
Everyone learns at a different pace. The DVSA says learners who pass have had around 45 hours of lessons on average, plus about 22 hours of private practice, but many people need fewer in an automatic. After your first few lessons I will give you an honest idea of how many you are likely to need.
Questions about prices
Are automatic lessons more expensive than manual?
Automatic lessons often cost a little more per hour, but many learners need fewer hours to be ready for their test, because there is no clutch or gears to learn.
Is a 2-hour lesson too long for a beginner?
Not usually. It gives you time to settle in and practise without feeling rushed, and we can take short breaks whenever you need. If you would prefer shorter lessons to start with, that is fine too.
Do you charge for pick-up?
No. Pick-up and drop-off within the areas I cover is included in the lesson price.
Can I use your car for my driving test?
Yes. You can hire the car you learned in for your test, which includes a warm-up lesson beforehand.
